brmstr_tlt.fpp - the authors still keep a very ugly programming style 
(particularly casting, order of precedence and side effects). 
They should mind elementar rules of good programming (to learn g77 see
http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-3.0.1/g77_toc.html#SEC_Contents).
This clearly will not cure the online-offline differences entirely.
