Welcome to the home page of Livia Conti

I am a researcher in Physics at the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN) in Padova, Italy. Here is my CV with main publications; here is a complete list of my publications.

I am the Principal Investigator of RareNoise, a project funded by the  European Research Council (ERC). The projects investigates the statistical properties of low-loss oscillators in nonequilibrium steady-states using both experimental and mathematical methods. So my present main interest is nonequilibrium statistical mechanics. In the past I was more active in the effort for gravitational wave detectors, working for the AURIGA detector and in the R&D for the DUAL detector.

Since I became a mother, I am interested into child development. I am amazed by the capabilities of little kids and try to offer my kids a wide range of stimuli, by applying different approches. To this end I am interested into: children's literature, science and figurative art activities, music and brain development, theatre.

Here I store a collection of drawings done by my kids.

Addresses: I am more often at the INFN- LNL (address at the right). If you do not find me there, you may try at the INFN-Padova (address at the left).
