Call for admission to the PhD Courses 2026/27 – 42° cycle
The call for applications for the PhDs of the XLII cycle, A.Y. 2026/27, is online.

Applications must be submitted through the online procedure indicated in the call. Application deadline: May 20, 2026, 1 p.m.
PhD Course in Physics
Each PhD student may choose a research topic among the very wide set of fields of competences of the DFA members: Applied Physics, Astrophysics, Biophysics, Cosmology, Gravitational Waves Physics, History of Physics, Multimessenger Astroparticle, Neutrino Physics , Nuclear Physics, Physics at Colliders, Physics Didactics, Physics of Data and of Complex Systems, Physics of Matter, Quantum Technologies, Theoretical Physics.
24 available scholarships, 3 funded by INFN (2 open, 1 funded by INFN – LNL Topic: Research in Nuclear Physics within the activities of the National Laboratories of Legnaro).

PhD Course in Technologies for Fundamental Research in Physics and Astrophysics
The PhD programme in Technologies for Fundamental Research in Physics and Astrophysics aims to provide a multidisciplinary pathway on technologies essential to fundamental research. The proposed PhD programme, structured into five curricula, provides complementary and multidisciplinary training across all areas that experimental research in Physics and Astrophysics relies upon.
18 available positions, 6 scholarships funded by INFN.
